China Shelf by Ginger Landon Siegel $53 – Limited to 15 participants
Friday morning 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spend a day creating a curved top “china” filled decorative shelf. In advance of the class you will make a choice between the Blue and White, the holiday themed White and Red and the shabby chic Green & Pink “China” to fill shelf, learning how to create the grooved wood backing for the shelf, then you will use a dry brush technique to create a softer finish for the white shelves and learn a technique to create the distressed look of the Shabby Chic shelf. Your “china” will be prepared in advance with the dimensional paints and glaze due to the drying time. Information and tips will be provided with your instructions so you will be able to make our own “china” for future projects. A faux raised wood design to compliment your shelf choice and will be added to the top. The design will be shape with and embossing technique to give added dimension. White decorative lace on the tops and fronts of the shelves is included to enhance the overall effect. The completed “china” filled shelves are 3 1/8” tall x 2 ¾” wide. This piece can be hung on a wall or placed on top of a hutch.
Garden with koi pond by Mary Beth Berry – $65 – limited to 15 participants
Friday, February 28, 2020 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Learn to make a garden centered with a koi pond cut into the middle. We will paint the pond bottom, arrange rocks, plants and fish & paint the surface of pond with gloss sealer to look like water. We will cut Styrofoam into rock shapes & paint & arrange them on the grass area. Greenery and flowers will be arranged around them. Water lilies will be placed. A rustic bridge kit will be included.
Dressing “Granny” by Fern Vasi $125 – Limited to 8 participants
Friday 12 p.m. (noon) to 4 p.m.
Students will dress & wig this smiling hand sculpted granny holding a towel & silverware. No experience is needed.
